About
What if we could laugh about the news? What if they were about us? Or if they were invented? The Rest of the World is a lecture performance that explores the world of TV news and the question whether images can lie. Mixing slapstick, dance and documentation, and making use a live camera and bluescreen techniques, it plays with the look and language of news. It dives into political and historical facts, interrogating truth and manipulation of past events through images. Further, it engages the young audience with interactive elements by inviting them onstage and in front of the bluescreen.
The Rest of the World combines absurd, emotional and serious moments into a search for big incidents, honesty, and one's own opinion.
